Micro Trains Line N 499 45 003 Weathered Lasercut Bulkhead Flatcar Deck #2 for 054 Series Flat Car 3-Pack

The deck laminates are printed on a wood like hard material 0.02 inch thick. I could not see any wood grain in the material leading me to think the substrate is a rigid form of wood like paper. My sample had three different deck patters that have a light brown color when installed on the car. Deck boards have a variety of color and weathering for contrast on each of the three kits. The printed design is laser cut intended to match the deck, stake pockets and ends of Micro Trains 499 series Bulkhead Cars. Each deck has a groove at both ends and each end has a tongue designed to fit into the groove. The bad news is that deck and ends are both oversize and do not fit the car out of the package, The deck is about 0.075 inch too long and the ends are about 0.02 inch too tall. The ends are easy to file down as you can work on the top away from the T&G. The deck needs a lot of filing to reduce the length and create a new groove.
