Prototype Information:

This Kato EMD SD70ACe with Nose Headlight diesel is based on the high-horsepower road diesel locomotives used in freight service from coast to coast, so this N Scale model will look right at home on your modern-era layout.

Model Information:

Features include a nose-mounted headlight, five-pole motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel electrical pickup, heavy die cast metal chassis, a lighting control board that can be swapped for a DCC decoder when you're ready, available separately, fine decoration, directional LED headlights and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers.

    It's a Kato. Great detailing runs smooth and quiet. Bought the pair. One negative the couplers are a little squirrely. But very happy overall.
