GM's 'old-look' bus was a familiar sight in many American cities from the 40s onward. Designed especially for city and suburban routes, they came in many sizes with a variety of engine and transmission options, identified by an alphanumeric code.

This model is based on the TD 3610, built from 1946-48. Measuring 30' long, 'T' indicated a transit bus for city and suburban routes, engines were 'D' for diesel or 'G' for gasoline, transmissions were 'M' (manual) or 'H' (hydraulic/automatic), 36 indicated seating capacity and 10 was the model number.
