Bluford Shops N 40160 International Car Company Half-Bay Window Caboose Phase 1 New York Central ALERT graphics 'Safety Wherever' NYC #20284 

New York Central first applied this New York CentrALERT paint scheme to selected bay window cabooses in 1956. The special logo included an image of the GM Aerotrain which was in service that year on the NYC along with the motto 'Safety Wherever.' The cars were painted 'safety green' not to be confused with Century green that would be adopted by NYC three years later.

Bluford Shops International Car Bay Window Caboose Phase 1 is based on the family of steel bay window cabooses developed by International Car Company beginning in the early 1950s. Over the years the design of the bay windows evolved and each phase features a number of bay window style and other detail variations. The N Scale International Car Window Caboose Phase 1 features wire grab irons, body mounted magnetically operating knuckle couplers, close coupling and Fox Valley Models metal wheels. Ladders and running boards are included on appropriate paint schemes for each version.
