The 73’ Center Partition Car is designed to load, transport and unload lumber, gypsum board and other construction products efficiently. The AAR mechanical designation for this type of car is “FBC.” The 73-foot version of the FBC was introduced in 1986. Since then over 40,000 cars have been built.

    The details on this car are outstanding. The car has etched metal crossover platforms, cut levers, wire grab irons, air hoses, and even the little hooks on the center partition for the cables are rendered. The car has good weight, even when empty, and rolls great through #6 turnouts and 24" radius curves. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this car.
