Atlas Master HO 20005783 ACF 6-Bay Covered Hopper Wabash ‘Cannonball Freight Service’ WAB #33019
Introduced in 1961 by ACF to haul sand, clay, salt, grain and bulk plastics, the Cylindrical Hopper was the first commercially successful tank-type covered hopper car design. Configured in many styles and number of bays, this is a 6 bay hopper and was used by the Wabash Railroad for their signature Cannonball Freight Service. A few of the more than 4,000 cars of this type built through 1966 can still be seen in service today across the United States.

Very nice rendition of this car. It will fit in with my 1960-75 era layout. So now all I have to do is weather it a little. I usually don't go crazy on weathering unless the build date is at the very beginning of my era and it needs to look road weary--like me!
