SoundTraxx 810140 CurrentKeeper

The SoundTraxx CurrentKeeper is designed to add additional power capacity to any decoder installation. It can be used to overcome dirty track, limited electrical pickup or dead frogs to ensure reliable operation of any locomotive in your fleet. Easily connect your SoundTraxx decoder and CurrentKeeper by using 2-pin ‘Quick Plug’ Wire Harness 810158, sold separately, for plug and play.

Maintains power to the decoder for up to 10 seconds during electrical interruptions
Compatible with NMRA DCC Standards & Recommended Practices

CurrentKeeper is available in 2 sizes:

p/n 810140 measures 40 x 6 x 11mm

p/n 810160 measures 20.1 x 13.2 x 11mm.

The 810140 works great in some locomotives. A brass alco c415 that I remotored and add dcc now glides nicely over unpowered frogs. The results in a brass 2-8-0 with the same motor were not quite as good.

Excellent product. Prevents your motors from dying by going through dead spots on switches. works well

Great product that the boys at Lombard are now offering. Keeps your engines from dying going over dead spots on switches. Works well
