Features of this WalthersMainline model include:
  • One time run of these roadnumbers, limited quantity available

  • Prototypes in service 1946 to early 2000s - several preserved today

  • 14 to 1 gear ratio
  • Helical-cut gears for quiet operation and easy multiple unit operation
  • All-wheel drive and electrical pickup
  • Machined brass flywheel

  • Constant and directional LED headlights
  • 21-pin DCC plug**
  • Molded drill starter points - add correct curved grab irons to your model easily with WalthersMainline RS-2 Diesel Detail Kit (#910-260, sold separately)
  • Correct size RP-25 metal wheels
  • Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers

**Lombard Hobbies Recommendation - As modelers ourselves we highly recommend ONLY running DCC on DCC systems and DC on DC systems, regardless of 'Dual-Mode' capability. This gives optimum performance and safeguards the unit from possible damage from running on a different system than originally intended and from any inexperienced operator errors.
