Switch stands are an important detail to give your railroad a realistic and believable appearance and these kits fit the bill perfectly. They are finely detailed and the dimensions are correct. There is an old switch stand on a dismantled turnout just like this one a couple blocks from my house so I checked it out. Although the parts are small, assembly isn't difficult if you follow the well written directions and with a little extra care you can make them operable. At this price you cannot afford to NOT have them on your layout, even if it is to detail an old unused turnout on a modern CTC layout.
