Atlas Master HO 10003740 Silver Series EMD SD-26 Low Nose DCC Ready Santa Fe 'Warbonnet' ATSF #4627

This detailed Atlas HO Scale Master Silver EMD SD26 is based on units which began life as 2,400-horsepower SD24 diesel road units produced by EMD between July 1958 and March 1963. In the 1970s Santa Fe began a rebuilding program which ultimately saw 80 units rebuilt as 2,650-horsepower SD26s. the units remained in service until the late 1980s and a batch of units sold to Guilford-Springfield Terminal soldiered on into the 1990s and early 2000s.

This Atlas model features details unique to each roadname. The sound-ready SD26 comes equipped with a factory-installed speaker and DCC socket for easy decoder installation when you're ready.

**Lombard Hobbies Recommendation - As modelers ourselves we highly recommend ONLY running DCC on DCC systems and DC on DC systems, regardless of 'Dual-Mode' capability.This gives optimum performance and safeguards the unit from possible damage from running on a different system than originally intended and from any inexperienced operator errors.
