Micro Trains Line N Roller Bearing Trucks with Short Extension Couplers
I had a number of older Atlas N Scale freight cars with truck mounted Rapido couplers. I wanted to replace those with something that was more reliable and less toylike. I bought the Micro Trains Line Roller Bearing trucks with couplers as mentioned above. I got both. You want instant realism? You got it! You want more reliable operation? You got that too! The couplers are so small relative to the Rapidos that my freight cars are no longer toys but miniatures of the real thing. I had considered just replacing the T shank couplers on the Atlas trucks, but for only a little bit more I found I could get new trucks with couplers but also didn't have the hassle of attempting to replace the couplers although truck mounted T shank couplers are easier to replace than body mounted couplers. I am sold on the Micro Trains trucks with couplers and will buy more to replace all the trucks in the rest of the older Atlas freight cars that I have. If you have Rapido couplers and yearn for something that looks and works great, you need look no further than Micro Trains Line trucks with couplers!!

MT trucks
Replacing some rapido trucks and adding trucks to some used stuff purchased without trucks. Love the short length couplers, only ones I use, provides the most realistic spacing between cars.
