On the cover: Heading East from the coast, Special #14 creeps through St Regis, Montana. This is one of the only places along the entire line that these trains have to slow down to what feels like a snails pace. You might be wondering: What’s with the power units? Well, there was a flame out of the lead unit #442 in the regular consist. These units will move the train a bit East until a more suitable lash-up can be lined up for the rest of the trip. Such is life on the railroad... At least, we are moving!
