Bluford Shops Scenery HO 201 Cornfield Kit - 400 Cornstalks - Summer Green

Perfect for farm field scenes, this kit includes injection-molded interlocking strips molded in an appropriate green or harvest brown color. Cornstalks are molded 20 to a strip which includes pins and sockets. Plug the strips together to form perfect rows and fill the desired space. The strips are flexible enough to follow terrain that is consistent with prototype cornfields. Corn stalks represent typical spacing and height, and strips are easily cut to fit the field in odd spaces.

This HO scale package includes 20 strips of 20 cornstalks for a total of 400 cornstalks - total area approximately 24 square inches.

For very large fields combine multiple packages or use Bluford Shops Scenery HO 203 Cornfield Kit - 1120 Cornstalks - Summer Green, which has 56 strips of 20 for a total of 1120 cornstalks which fills an area 66.4 square inches

The plastic green cornstalks are detailed and finely molded. The tops of the stalks are cut from the sprue and the base of the stalks remain attached to their green base. I will be painting the bases brown. I left about a 1/2 inch between the rows although you can press the bases together for a more dense field. I will spread earth colored foam between the rows. This Cornfield kit is a welcome addition to a layout that needs a rural scene.
