Athearn HO 7700 John Deere Model B Tractor

First off, I'm not an absolute finite detailer or scenic er. My RR is modest and largely centers a time period of my younger years. It depicts a mid-west granger, so the rural farming atmosphere pervaids with a depiction in very limited style, one small town, some rural depots, a rail head and attendant farm atmosphere buildings, along with accompanying services which drive the rural economy. I like to develop interpretive scenes. While I have additional tractors used to apply credence to a scene, these 2 tractors will enhance the visual scene interpretation of a very limited in size one main road rural community with one tractor pulling a load of grain thru the town to an elevator while the other tractor driver is headed in another scene to a greasy spoon near a gas station.

When I get these scenes more along, I'll send pictures.

One thing I've found in depicting rural mid-west America there is not much available along the vein of farming equipment pulled by tractors. There is some. The selections from brick and mortar are just not that diverse because it simply does not exist. So, older corn pickers, plows, wagons, fertilizers, shit throwers, etc are very few in options if at all available. If there are RR modelers like me, we make do, hoping the image or story despite how personal it is, comes through.

These are cool models. The front wheels should be closer together and canted. They will make a nice flat car load.

John Deere farm tractors will look real nice on a 40 foot flat car. I am always looking for something to put on my flat cars, These tractors fill the bill. They look almost real not like a cheap toy. Great eye appeal for a busy rail road.

These will be a good flat car load.
