This 1-amp Digital Sound Decoder simply plugs into models equipped with an NEM-supported 21-pin socket. It includes a connector which can be easily wired to a CurrentKeeper to maintain performance over dirty track and switches.

I've purchased several of these decoders to use in my GP40-2, SD40-2 and SD60 locomotives. They work pretty well with Athearn locomotives.
