Jerry Pyfer, the Author, takes you on an informative and historic journey through his career on the Milwaukee Road. Working from Beloit, Wi. to Rockford, Il, or Southward to Ladd, Il. and up to Savanna,Il. to Milwaukee itself on the Sturtevant to Kittridge line, this book is incredible!! The Author is a great writer, and his sense of humor will tickle any funny bone!! Your library DESERVES and NEEDS this book TODAY!!! Very little remains of this once busy area and lines. See what it was like in the dawning of the 70's to the last bankruptcy in the late 70's. A+++++
